Candy is a 29-year-old grade paint mare with a heart of gold. She has been part of Quarter Moon Acres since its founding in 2015. Before that, she was owned by Mike and Liz Waltzer—and Liz, one of our wonderful volunteers, still gets to spend time with her!

Over the years, Candy has slowed down, and her favorite speed is now a relaxed walk. Her gentle nature and steady demeanor make her a favorite among our younger riders, giving them confidence and a safe, positive riding experience.

Candy absolutely loves her stall and would stay in it 24/7 if she had her way! She’s also a pro at begging for treats and attention, making sure no one passes her by without stopping to say hello.
